SUPERHOT Comes to Xbox One on May 3rd
Blurring the lines between cautious strategy and unbridled mayhem, SUPERHOT is the FPS in which time moves only when you move. No regenerating health bars. No conveniently placed ammo drops. Itโs just you, outnumbered and outgunned, grabbing the weapons of fallen enemies to shoot, slice, and maneuver through a hurricane of slow-motion bullets. Sound cool? It is and now SUPERHOT comes to Xbox One for all of you who couldnโt catch it on PC.
Released on PC back in February it makes the jump over to the Xbox One console on May 3rd and you should be excitedโฆ very excited.
COGconnectedโs own Lucas Raycevick reviewed the game giving it a solid score of 80, and while noting it wasnโt perfect had this to say:
As for criticisms, there arenโt very many. All I can think of besides the obvious, is that the elevator level is isnโt enjoyable โ youโll know what I mean when you see it โ hit registration isnโt perfect, and the randomly generated weapons carried by enemies can sometimes turn an easy level into an unfair fight due to a dice roll. All of these are nit-picks and donโt hurt the game in any significant way.
What hurts Superhot is the lack of content. Iโd rather be left wanting more instead of becoming burned out like Alien: Isolation, but itโs hard not to feel there couldโve been more. I wish I could demand that you rush out and buy this game with a perfect rating, but I canโt, and itโs mostly due to this reason.
But I will say that itโs absolutely a game you need to play, and while the lack of content is a shame, itโs still a game that I will be replaying and showing to friends long after Iโve seen the credits roll. No matter what genre of games interest you, Superhot is one youโve got to play.
