Today we learned Gears of War 4 will be released on October 11 in the US and UK. This is according to Microsoft.
That is certainly a long wait for Gears fans who have been eager to see what’s in store for the future of Gears.
You can; however, play the beta soon. Beginning on April 18, fans who’ve played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox One or Windows 10 will begin to receive tokens in waves for early access to the beta. Following the conclusion of early access on April 24, all qualifying Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One will be invited to join the beta until it ends on May 1.
The Gears sequel takes place years after the conclusion of Gears of War 3, starring the son of Marcus Fenix and his two friends as they explore the hostile world beyond the city state walls.
Microsoft has already confirmed that the Xbox One exclusive will run at 1080p resolution across the board, with a solid 30 frames per second in the campaign and a smooth 60 in multiplayer.
