In a teaser post on The Binding of Isaac’s official blog, creator Edmund McMillen told us about his newest game, The Legend of Bum-bo. Saying that he’s been working on the game for a few months now with fellow programmer James Id, The Legend of Bum-bo is a turn-based puzzle and RPG hybrid that is procedurally generated as you play. McMillen takes on designing, writing and the 2D art and character design and composers Matthias Bossi and Jon Evans (The Binding of Isaac OST) once again take on audio duties.
We wish we could tell you more but sadly that’s all that Mr. McMillen is willing to share with us at this point. Aside from a title image of the game featuring a coin picture identical to the ones used in The Binding of Isaac, he’s left us with nothing.
Perhaps the biggest tease that McMillen points out is why is this on the blog for The Binding of Isaac? Could the worlds be tied together somehow? We can only wait and see as more information comes to light in time.
