Shuhei Yohida Says Dreams and Detroit: Become Human NOT Confirmed for 2017

2017 PlayStation Sizzle Reel Includes Dreams and Detroit: Become Human by ‘Mistake’

Just a day ago we posted up the latest PlayStation sizzle video that supposedly detailed all the great games coming to PS4 console in 2017. Among the games highlighted were two very highly anticipated games with Quantic Dream’s Detroit: Become Human and Media Molecule’s Dreams. This sent many fans into a tizzy thinking that the wait for these games was nearly over. Unfortunately, along comes Shuhei Yoshida to burst everyone’s bubble.

A Twitter user was surprised enough by the inclusion of both titles in the sizzle reel that he tweeted out to both developers looking for answers. We’re sure he was surprised when a response came not from either studio but from the President of Worldwide Studios for Sony Interactive Entertainment.

As quickly as our hopes were raised they were sadly dashed! Of course, both Dreams and Detroit: Become Human could still release this year but it’s obvious that PlayStation isn’t quite willing to 100% confirm that just yet. When you have two of Sony’s most lauded developers working on games people get excited and ever since the announcement of these games the interest has been high. With Quantic Dream being responsible for Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls and Media Molecule being the developer of the fan favorite LittleBigPlanet series, there’s no doubt that expectations are high for both titles as well.

Until such time that Sony is willing to confirm release dates for Dreams and Detroit: Become Human you can keep it locked to COGconnected for any other information that gets thrown our way!
