Music is an integral part of video games. Whether it’s the memorable tunes that you hum to yourself long after playing the game or subtle sounds that evoke the intended atmosphere, music can help transport the gamer to wonderful places and elevate the game’s enjoyment. Due to this, we here at COGconnected have decided to honor the finest video game soundtracks of 2020.
Although we’re all looking forward to the end of 2020, we have decided to reflect on some of the incredible games that we got to experience in this horrific year. From the heartbreaking parallel narrative of Ellie and Abi in The Last of Us: Part 2 to the intense gore filled action in Doom Eternal, we have had a plethora of games to keep us busy whilst stuck indoors.
