Despite the fact that multiplayer titles are not everyone’s cup of tea, they’re certainly getting better as the years go on, and they’re definitely gaining popularity. In fact, in just the last few years alone we’ve seen a huge surge in battle royale title popularity and there are some huge games that offered up some fantastic multiplayer experiences in 2020. Given it wasn’t always feasible to see friends in person, because…pandemic, gaming with friends in multiplayer games meant even more than ever before.
Though single player games suck you in through their narrative, their characters, or their overall game design, multiplayer titles have other pulls. Whether it’s your competitive nature and need to show off your serious skills, hours spent casually gaming with friends or the endless sh*t talking, it’s all a good time. Hell, games like Call of Duty or Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout are kind of a mix of all three!
