The Outer Worlds: Six New Features We Love

6 New Features for The Outer Worlds

When The Outer Worlds was announced we were all floored by how cool it looks. Not just its fantastic graphics and surreal landscapes, but the humor and gameplay evident in the trailers was just off the rails. It also didn’t hurt to see that the team building The Outer Worlds over at Obsidian Entertainment also worked on the original Fallout games. At E3 this year we were given an opportunity to get a first-hand look at gameplay of the upcoming shooter and discuss with the devs some of the new features and mechanics we would see. What might those be? Well, check out our helpful video below to find out.

The Outer Worlds is an offbeat and unique first person shooter made by Obsidian Entertainment under the Private Division label owned by Take-Two Interactive. The game will see you awaken as a stranger to the solar system after a long time spend in cryosleep, arriving on a world owned and operated by greedy corporations that leave the inhabitants to fend for themselves. Beyond the typical first person shooter tropes, you’ll get all new dialogue options, stat-based abilities that actually matter to gameplay, and a whole host of fun ways to play the game, with psychopath dialogue options being my personal favorite.

The Outer Worlds is set for release on October 25 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. For more information check out the game’s official website.
