Modern Warfare’s Gunfight is Fun, Fresh, and Fast-Paced
Last month we threw ourselves into the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Gunfight Alpha with a ton of vigor, after all this game is shaping up to be an all-time great in the franchise. The gunfight game mode specifically is one to talk about, as it’s fun, fast-paced, and everything great about Call of Duty packed into small maps and short matches. So what makes this game mode so great? Watch our video below to find out!
If you don’t count yourself as one of the millions of people who have been watching gameplay of Modern Warfare’s Gunfight religiously since the very beginning, you might be unaware of exactly what it brings to the table. It’s a 2v2, last-team-standing game mode where there are random loadouts, no respawns, non-regenerative health and 40 seconds per round. If unable to kill both enemy players within the timeframe, a flag spawns in the middle of the map and you’ll have to try and defend it for 3 seconds. If not, the winner is the team with the most collective health. The first team to win 6 rounds wins.Â
In addition to the frenetic style gameplay where you’ll never know what weapon you’ll be facing off with, Activision and Infinity Ward have either added or revived some fantastic features, to make Call of Duty: Modern Warfare feel more realistic than ever. For the first time in COD history, you’re able to reload while aiming down sights and sprint two different ways. And for fans of the cover/aim system in Ghosts, they’ve brought it back. You probably don’t need any more convincing about the latest title in the hugely popular franchise, right?Â
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 25th. If you’re looking to get your hands on the game before its release, don’t forget about the beta on this weekend and next!
