Deadpool 2 Teaser is Pure Fire
Deadpool 2 may not have started shooting but if there is any one movie our entire COGconnected staff cannot wait for, it’s this one. There was no way Fox was going to let Logan open without something extra for the fans. Days ago, there were rumors of a post-credits scene but instead this weekend Logan moviegoers got an amazing pre-movie bonus with Deadpool 2.
Everyone’s favorite anti-hero is back and Ryan Reynolds surprised fans with a teaser of Deadpool 2 before the movie Logan. We note the nearly 4-minute-long teaser has been seen over 14 million times, in less than a couple of days. The video shows the superhero in a phone booth, struggling to get into his skin-tight costume, as a man is being robbed at gunpoint. But before he can save the man he realizes he is a bit too late. Did you spot all those Easter eggs? Not only are there eggs in the trailer itself, but you can also finally read that big block of text at the end, which turns out to be a snarky, Deadpool-ish description of Ernest Hemingway’s The Old Man and the Sea.
The teaser doesn’t include footage from the actual film but gives an insight into what fans can expect next year. As expected the teaser is hilarious and awesome.
In October, director of the first installment Tim Miller dropped out following creative differences with Ryan Reynolds. The teaser was released days after multiple leaked clips of the teaser surfaced all over the internet.
