For many gamers, getting the latest iteration of the Call of Duty franchise has become a holiday season tradition. Unloading a magazine of bullets into an unaware member of the opposition squad evokes that feeling of merriment that surrounds this time of year. Unleashing on both current and next-gen consoles is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, but in a year plagued by the pandemic, will Treyarch be able to maintain the quality that they have shown previously?

With a narrative-driven campaign, ever-growing multiplayer, and the hugely popular zombie mode, Cold War delivers on all the aspects expected but does it meet the standard that was set by its predecessors?
