Paul Sullivan (Content and Video Editor) – Mass Effect
The combat was weird and clunky but the Mass Effect universe was completely awe inspiring. It had that Bioware sparkle and despite the Mako is a game I still revisit today.
Erin Soares (Content Editor) – Saints Row 3
When most people think Saints Row, they think GTA knock off, however, Saints Row is entirely different and just plain fun. Saints Row 3 drops players into a new setting bringing more violence than any before it, and I spent hours upon hours just running around town, collecting money and beating people up. Maybe half of the fun was that it is so far from realistic, it didn’t feel wrong beating on people with a giant purple dildo.
Steven Ritz (Contributor) – Rune Factory Frontier
I will always have a soft spot for Harvest Moon games, but Rune Factory Frontier was my favorite from that generation. It had dungeon crawling, dungeon farming, crafting, a complex rune system, and an enticing over-arching story on top of it all. It was my go to game when I wanted to just take it easy.
