Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 – PC, PS4, X1 – Mar 15
Following hot on the heels of Anthem which released in February, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 looks to capitalize and to find a place in the shared world shooter space. Taking place in Washington, DC, The Division 2 looks to build on the first title with its co-op and PvP play. In our preview of the Division 2 beta, we noted that “the game felt fun alone and with randoms” and that “nearly everything shows promise”.
Yoshi’s Crafted World – NS – Mar 29
Yoshi’s Crafted World is the eighth and latest entry in the Yoshi franchise, and first to appear on the Nintendo Switch. The title features a diorama-like world in which players must navigate. The game also features two-player co-operative play, which looks to be a must-try with others. Much like Yoshi’s Woolly World and Kirby’s Epic Yarn, Yoshi’s Crafted World features a cardboard cutout theme that appears to be quite charming.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice – PC, PS4, X1 – Mar 22
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the latest game from FromSoftware and features to be a slight departure from its “SoulsBorne” games. Featuring an actual character rather than a created one, Sekiro introduces greater movement options than previous titles, stealth options, and feudal Japan. Having spent roughly 20 minutes getting beat down in Sekiro at Tokyo Game Show 2018, I can confidently say that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice features a different challenge than past FromSoftware games, and I can’t wait to get crushed again.
