Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden – Dec 4 – PC, PS4, X1
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is a title that immediately popped up on our radars with its first trailer, displaying some awesome characters set in an intriguing universe. Fast forward to December 2018, and players are presented with a tactical strategy game, not unlike the XCOM titles, albeit with a mutant team. With deep, tactical combat, real-time stealth, and an interesting cast of characters, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden appears to be a promising new IP.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – Dec 7 – Switch
Last, and definitely not least, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The biggest release of the month, and one of the biggest releases of the year, Super Smash Bros. is back in a big way with the largest cast of characters ever, with every previous character returning. In addition to the cast, the game features a crazy amount of stages, soundtracks, and assist trophies. With tons of content, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the perfect party game featuring characters that everyone should know, and will be deep enough for competitive players to enjoy as well.
