The Top 5 RPGs You Should Look Out For In 2022

Forspoken

What do you do when you get Isekai’d into another world? Follow Frey, a seemingly regular New Yorker, as she’s whisked away into the mysterious world of Athia. As a heavily narrative-driven game, follow in Frey’s adventure as she attempts to make her way home. Utilize various magic spells to quell her foes as you attack, dash and flip over different terrains. We can hope to enter the world of Athia on Frey’s journey on October 11th.

Starfield

Ah, finally something that isn’t Skyrim. Developed by Bethesda, we’re taking our journey into the stars around the year 2310. Playing as a customizable character, you’re a part of Constellation as a wanderer to discover what lurks beyond our own galaxy. From what we’ve seen, this title looks absolutely stunning and we’re really looking forward to learning more about this game. You can join Constellation on November 11th to travel throughout space on humanity’s last journey.

BONUS:
Lost Soul Aside

We know we added a few games that don’t have confirmed release dates but there’s a reason why we’re adding Lost Soul Aside to the list as a bonus. Announced back in 2016 by a lone developer, Yang Bing. We didn’t hear a lot about this game for quite some time until a new 18-minute gameplay trailer was released. Luckily for us who’ve been eagerly waiting for this game, it was picked up by China Hero Project so now that Yang has a team behind the development of this game, we may soon see more updates on what exactly this gorgeous game is about. Though with games like Final Fantasy XV, which players drew immediate comparisons, we could be seeing a title that’s caught in development hell. But fingers crossed that we’ll be able to get our hands on this incredibly fast-paced title soon.

There we have it, the top 5, er- well, 6 technically, RPGs that you should keep an eye out for. Which of these titles are you looking forward to the most? Is there an RPG you’re looking forward to that wasn’t listed here? Let us know in the comments below! Be sure to keep it locked to COGConnected as we’ll give you updates on new developments.Â
