Top 5 Most Wanted Surprises at PlayStation Experience 2016

Can You Give Us a Shenmue Remastered?

Shenmue 3 was announced at Sony’s 2015 E3 Press Conference alongside its crowdfunding campaign. Needless to say, the title quickly reached its initial goal and finished with over $6 million in funding. Personally, I have never gotten to experience Shenmue 1 and 2, and I am sure that many others haven’t either. With Shenmue 3 currently scheduled to release in December 2017, a great way to pique further interest in the third installment would be to allow gamers to play the first two. Given the likelihood of a delay from the December 2017 release date, a remaster would help to keep fans satisfied until the game eventually releases.

Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom

The next title in the charming Ni no Kuni series was announced at last year’s Playstation Experience as a relative surprise. Since then, not much about the game has been revealed, though the game is expected to be much larger than Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch with improved gameplay, graphics, and apparently a kingdom creation feature. Absent from E3 and Tokyo Game Show this year, Playstation Experience 2016 could be a great way to show more of the game, especially if it will be coming out anytime soon.

Something MORE for Playstation VR

With the PSVR having just launched, there honestly has not been a huge buzz behind it. Xbox’s Phil Spencer has also come out to say that Project Scorpio will have VR when it does not feel like “demos and experiments”. While seemingly true for the most part, games such as RIGS: Mechanized Combat League have proven to be more than just a demo. We would love to see Sony come with a fully fleshed out VR title that wows consumers. We know that Ace Combat 7 was announced last year with VR capabilities, and though a gameplay trailer of the title would be great, a pure VR title could be the tipping point for those on the fence about the PSVR.
