3) Rampage (April 20)
Oh, well this awkward, Mr. Johnson…
Unlike Tomb Raider on the other list, I can assure you that this will not break the ‘terrible video game movie’ trend. Based on the awesome game of the same name, someone decided that having The Rock in this one would iron out all the problems of bringing this game to the big screen. Do The Rock and the monster have a King Kong like relationship? Is this a buddy cop movie? Will there be mirror cuts of monsters fighting while Johnson pummels humans?
Just, please, spare yourself.
2) Teen Titans Go! To the Movies (July 27)
What fresh new hell is this?
1) Bumblebee (December 21)
Hey, remember when Transformers were cool? Remember when literally everyone got bored of Michael Bays version of the Robots in Disguise 3 movies ago? Do you also remember when absolutely no one asked for a spinoff movie? Well, here it is anyway.
Everyone’s supposed favorite Transformer Bumblebee (whose favorite is he? WHOSE?!), gets his own flick with Hailee Steinfeld in the lead and I guess they’re battling Decepticons or something. How this fits into the timeline is beyond me nor do I care to try to figure it out. I want as much to do with this as I want to do with the flu that will inevitably be going around at the same time as this gets released. Please stop this. Please.
No trailer here either, here’s some information on when to not see it.
Special Shout Out – Untitled DC Film (July 27)
Special shout out to WB for having absolutely no idea what the hell they’re doing with their DC Universe! God bless you, you incompetent and incredibly short-sighted buffoons!
Did we miss a movie to avoid this year? Are you planning to see any of the ones on our list? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
