Game Pass Games You Need to Play
Game Pass is overflowing with options, and with new titles dropping every other week, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. That’s why I’ve sifted through the library to bring you 10 of the best games worth your time right now. Whether you’re in the mood for a story-driven epic, a pick-up-and-play indie, or a multiplayer timesink, this list has something for everyone.
A Plague Tale: Requiem
The first entry in the franchise, Innocence, was a surprise hit. It blended stealth gameplay with a deeply emotional narrative to deliver a truly remarkable experience. Requiem builds upon this strong foundation, expanding its scope and refining its mechanics while bringing the story to a powerful and unforgettable conclusion.
Blue Prince
Seemingly coming out of nowhere, the roguelike puzzler is most definitely the surprise hit of 2025. With the simple goal of navigating to room 46, you quickly realise that everything is not what it seems in this strange mansion.
Celeste
Celeste is one of the best platformers ever created. With its incredible level design that requires precision-based platforming, it’s an addictive adventure that will quickly get its hooks in you. On top of that, it also includes a wonderful, touching story that helps to elevate this masterpiece.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Another new title to land on the service and another absolute hit. Redefining what turn-based, action combat can be, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a breath of fresh air that reinvigorates the genre.
Dead Space
Recently, remakes have dominated the horror genre. While some completely reimagine the original, others stay closer to the source, improving elements to refine the experience. Dead Space falls into the latter, adding voice acting, the gruesome peel system and much more, making this one of the best survival horror games in recent times.
Deathloop
Created by the visionaries behind Dishonored, Deathloop continues with their innovative approach to gameplay design as you aim to eliminate several characters in one day. The only issue is that they’re all in different places. This time-bending adventure is a clever take on the formula, mixing in puzzle elements so that you can manipulate where people venture throughout the day. A true gem, this is a must.
Firewatch
Emotional, thought-provoking and poignant, Firewatch is truly a masterpiece. Set in the isolated Shoshone National Forest, you play as a fire lookout. What at first seems like a quiet stroll through a luscious environment soon evolves into something much more. If you haven’t played this, then do yourself a favour and dive in blind.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Nailing a famed franchise in the interactive medium can be a difficult task. For every Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, there’s a Star Wars: Obi-Wan. MachineGames manages to pull off the impossible with the help of some truly amazing voice acting by Troy Baker to create a perfect adventure that captures the essence of the classic.
Inside
After Limbo, Playdead followed up with another bleak indie gem: Inside. Dark, twisted, and brimming with atmosphere, the game immerses you in a haunting world where nothing is quite as it seems. It’s short, but every moment carries weight—Inside will linger in your mind long after the credits roll.
Neon White
This is a game that’s hard to explain. Part speedrunner with some deckbuilding elements thrown in, this is an addictive first-person adventure that will keep you hooked until you get the best time. Trust me, you need to play this.
Have you played all the games on the list? Which games would you add? Is Game Pass the future of gaming or will it be part of its downfall?
Thank you for keeping it locked on COGconnected.
