3 – World of Warcraft Time
Membership for World of Warcraft was beginning to thin out for a while, until they released the expansion pack “Legion” and suddenly the numbers surged again. Sometimes it’s hard to find just the right gift for a gamer, most of us end up just buying the things we want anyway, so what do you get a WoW gamer that doesn’t need toys or accessories? More WoW time. Affectionately referred to by some as “Crack in a Box”, you can walk into almost any video game retailer and ask for some additional time to slap on to a friend’s account and feed their addiction of prancing about Azeroth and battling everyone they encounter, a lovely way to spend the holiday season.
2 – Gamer Gift Cards
Sometimes, when sitting at wits ends trying to find the right gift, a simple card is the perfect way to go. With options ranging from the PSN card for DLC, the PS+ for monthly savings, Xbox Live, Nintendo eShop, and even Steam, these will give you the varied options needed to cover any and all gamers, provided you know their favorite system. You might just see a piece of cardboard with a silver wax strip on the back, but to a gamer, it can mean new characters, levels, and content they may have been itching to pick up.
1 – Gamer Fuel
Often overlooked is the fuel a gamer needs to keep going for those marathon sessions they are prepping for. Turkey makes you sleepy, and all the other Christmas goodies are going to make them bloated and greasy. A couple light snacks and an energy drink for late night gaming is a cheap and simple way to fill the stocking and still be a crowd pleaser around the holiday season as the gamer in your house can stay up to the wee hours enjoying all the other goodies they got to unwrap.
We hope this guide gave you a few ideas for the holiday season. Are there any suggestions for stocking stuffers that we may have missed? Let us know on Facebook, Twitter, and the Comments section below!
