The Best Headsets 2016

Headsets provide gamers the opportunity for big gaming sound, but without the need for expensive stereo equipment. They’re an absolute must for multiplayer gaming – because it’s pretty hard to strategize with your team if they can’t hear you. Here at COGconnected, we found five awesome headsets for gamers this year, either one should give gamers a superior audio experience!

Turtle Beach Stealth 420X+ Headset

Here’s a wireless headset, exclusively for the Xbox One from Turtle Beach. As we noted in our review, Turtle Beach has struck a nice balance between ergonomics and functionality at the price point. Check out our review here.

Turtle Beach Stealth 520 Headset

Here’s a wireless headset, exclusively for the PlayStation 4 from Turtle Beach. This headset boasts an impressive 15 hour battery life, has a very cool aesthetic and exception 7.1 surround sound! Check out our review here.

Stealth 520

Plantronics RIG Flex LX

Here’s a wired headset, exclusively for the Xbox One from Plantronics. While we were less than impressed with the level of volume the headset produced, the actual sound quality was top notch. Check out our review here.

LucidSound LS30 Universal Gaming Headset

Here’s a universal wireless headset from LucidSound. While a bit on the pricey side, the headset is absolutely gorgeous with it’s white and gold colour design. But how does it sound? While it’s only a stereo headset, the sound is still good, but the bass is incredibly deep. Check out our review here.

LS30

LucidSound LS20 Universal Gaming Headset

Here’s a universal wired headset from LucidSound. Much like the wireless headset, the headset is only stereo – so you’ll get good (but not great) sound, but awesome bass. The headset design is nice, but we would have preferred slightly larger ear pieces. Check out our review here.
