Features We Would Love to See In the Future
Now the fun part of the article, where I basically write up a wishlist of everything I want to see in future updates.
Online Play
If you’re like me, then you’ll know that all of your friends have moved on from Rock Band. Online play was such an essential part of my experience with past games. I had my main crew of players I’d play online with who had an extensive library of DLC like myself. This is perhaps my number one feature I would like to see come to Rock Band 4. Come on Harmonix, let’s make this happen!
Challenges From Rock Band 2
Rock Band 2 to this day has one of the best career modes of any game in the series. What made this mode special was that new challenges that would be continually added to the career as you downloaded more DLC. Â
Setlist Creators
A simple feature like this keeps the good times rocking! One of my biggest gripes with Rock Band 4 is the lack of a setlist creator that was present in Rock Band 2 and 3. How does Harmonix expect us to enjoy a full album if we have to go back to our music library after each song? With a setlist creator you can play an album the way it was meant to be played, from start to finish without interruption.
Song Ratings
One of my favourite ways to sort my songs in my Rock Band 3 library was by song ratings. In Rock Band 3 you could assign a rating to a song on a 5 point scale as to whether you liked the song or not. This feature is sorely needed in Rock Band 4 as it would help the Show Mode since you wouldn’t get pummeled with song choices you don’t want.
