3 Up, 3 Down – September 2017 Edition
As September 2017 has come and gone, we have officially passed the Q3 mark of 2017 and are headed straight into the holiday season. Last month, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy took one of our top spots, and in September we have three new and exciting games to look back on. But rather than just talking about it, let’s jump into the three best and worst games of September 2017.
The Best
Destiny 2

Let’s face it, Destiny 2 was the most anticipated game of September 2017, and the game delivered on all fronts. Destiny 2 improved on all aspects found in the first game, with its narrative, social spaces, and rewarding progression system at the forefront of its positives. While criticisms are always abound for a game with that much hype behind it, Destiny 2 is by all accounts a success, and its future expansions will be scrutinized just as much.
Dishonored: Death of the Outsider

Like Uncharted: The Lost Legacy in August, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider provides a fresh look at an existing franchise, knocking it out of the park. With a new protagonist, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider features detailed spaces and what is described by our own Henry Kulick as “the most Dishonored game of the series”. While the title is shorter than we may have liked, the experience is one to behold.
Divinity: Original Sin 2

One of the biggest RPGs of the year, Divinity: Original Sin 2 released to positive reviews across the internet. Noted for its in-depth character customization and true player freedom, Original Sin 2 really allows for players to approach any situation from any angle. With this true player freedom, the title really embraces the term “role-playing game”, and it could be the purest RPG in years.
