Duck Hunt Dog
I’m not actually sure how the Duck Hunt dog ended up on this list, as it’s supposed to be celebrating good dogs not naming the absolute worst ones, but I’ll roll with it. Alright, so sure. This dog is a bit of a jerk, as he laughs at the player constantly. But maybe he’s good friends with all the nearby ducks, and he doesn’t want them to get shot. Maybe this dog is actually good!
Rush
While he might not be as furry as other canines on this list, Rush is still a great friend. This robotic dog has been by Mega Man’s side since Mega Man 3, and is even useful inside the game’s challenging levels. A good friend will help you out of trouble, but Rush will literally let you bounce on his back and let you escape a bad situation.
Amaterasu
The star of Okami isn’t just a gorgeous white wolf, she’s actually a god! She’s also the star of one of the best action adventure games ever made, and yet another Hideki Kamiya masterpiece. While Amaterasu is powerful, she uses her skills for good and just wants the world to be peaceful.
