Jake
The star of Frontier Developments’ Dog’s Life, Jake is a dog that is trying to find love. After his crush Daisy gets taken away by dogcatchers, he chases after her in order to be a hero. If I’m being honest, he’s really only on this list because the game has fart button and that kept me more than entertained. Keep on farting Jake.
Greater Dog
Undertale has a lot of fantastic dogs, but Greater Dog is my favorite. A member of the Royal Guard, he looks like a ferocious enemy that the player will have to battle with. Not so fast. He’s actually just an adorable puppy who wants to play with the protagonist! After all, you never hurt a puppy!
K.K. Slider
Sure, D-Dog might have a knife, but K.K. Slider brandishes an even cooler weapon — a guitar. This music loving dog lives to perform, and he’s made Animal Crossing a much better place for generations at this point. I don’t want to live in a world without K.K. Slider, and I’ll keep listening to K.K. Rock until I die.
Parappa
K.K. Slider isn’t the only talented dog that has a knack for music, as Parappa was rapping before K.K. ever picked up his first guitar pick. It’s easy to see why Parappa has so many friends, his positivity is infectious and his mantra of “you gotta believe” is inspirational. He’s easily my favorite rapper (sorry Flynt Flossy), and one of the best dogs in video games.
