‘Metal Gear Survive’ Second Round Beta Scheduled Soon

Last Chance to Participate in Konami’s Multiplayer Survival Game

Konami has announced the second beta for their upcoming open-world survival game set in the Metal Gear universe. As a remnant member of Motherbase, you take up the task of assisting survivors to safety and dispatching hordes of zombie-like marauders. You can experience Metal Gear Survive at no cost from February 16-18.

As many are aware, Metal Gear Survive utilizes the Fox Engine from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. That is to say, if you enjoyed MGSV gameplay, then you’re liable to enjoy Konami’s latest experience. It comes with a plethora of customization options and entails a mix of first-person-shooter with Tower Defense. Of course, there is also the open world aspect that lets you wander and scavenge to your heart’s content. Anything you can contribute to the extensive crafting, whether you want better gear or defenses.

By participating in the Metal Gear Survive beta, players can obtain in-game rewards that shall be available on the day of launch. Those rewards include the following:

  • One FOX HOUND name plate
  • One Metal Gear Rex head accessory
  • One bandana accessory

Two days later, on February 20th, residents of the Americas can pick up Metal Gear Survive for Xbox One or PlayStation 4. The game will then be made available worldwide on February 22nd.

Happy gaming.
