5 Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Tips and Tricks You Should Know

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Tips Continued

Railings Are Deadly So Use Them

One of the most entertaining parts of Catalyst is forcefully guiding the enemy towards the railing, watching them awkwardly fling over the edge as if they were in a Steven Seagal movie. Laughs aside, railings offer a quick way to vanquish enemies. Rather than chip away at their HP, guide them to a rail and give one swift kick to the head and voila! Walls are also effective for incapacitating the enemy. mirror's edge catalyst closed beta KrugerSec Strategies

KrugerSec is made up of five different enemy types that require special tactics to defeat. For the tougher ones it’s about finding rhythm to your strikes and knowing when to dodge. The AI is predictable which is extremely advantageous if you know what to look for.

Guardians – The pawns, weaker enemies that require very little skill to take down, any way you see fit will work. Punches usually result in a combo that throws them to the ground.

Protectors – Slightly tougher than Guardians, Protectors have more armour and counter attacks when the same one is used repeatedly. Alternate between kicks and punches to throw them off their guard.

Shock Protectors – Same strategy as regular Protectors but they emit a powerful blast of shock. For every two consecutive hits they will counter, strike-strike-shift and repeat.

Enforcers – Masters of ranged combat and being a pain in the ass, Enforcers keep their distance and shoot, these are the enemies you want to take out first. Maintain a steady momentum to keep your focus shield up and close your distance on them quickly for a jump kick.

Sentinels – The Sentinels are the elite forces of KSec and have tons of HP to go along with the title. Sentinels are relentless in their pursuit to destroy Faith, they unleash a devastating heavy punch that will stun you, the best approach is to heavy kick and shift before they counter. Strike and move, strike and move. You can also create distance and launch off boxes to perform aerial attacks but remember to shift.

I have one more tip but it’s more of a suggestion, climb the tallest building you can find because the views incredible, especially when you jump off — you have to try it once.
