Escape the Kitchen Sink in Sponge Break
Goose Byte Games and Balor Games have officially launched Sponge Break on Steam, bringing a lighthearted co-op adventure that mixes physics-based chaos with teamwork. The game is now available for $7.99, inviting players to jump into a frantic rafting experience either solo or with up to three friends.

In Sponge Break, players step into the role of runaway kitchen sponges determined to escape the sink. Their only tools are a plunger-hook, quick thinking, and teamwork as they attempt to guide a flimsy homemade raft through dangerous rapids. While the objective sounds simple, surviving the journey is anything but easy. Players must keep their raft from falling apart while solving environmental puzzles, avoiding hazards, and steering clear of hostile wildlife. One wrong move can quickly turn a smooth ride into a hilarious disaster.
The game also features proximity voice chat, encouraging players to communicate as they scramble to keep their raft afloat. Thanks to its physics-driven gameplay, every run offers unpredictable moments, ensuring that no two adventures play out the same way.
Before launch, Sponge Break generated plenty of attention through extensive playtesting. According to the developers, players logged more than 500,000 minutes of gameplay, while clips and highlights from the game amassed over 26 million views across streaming platforms and social media. Those early sessions showcased the game’s blend of comedy, teamwork, and unexpected failures that have become its biggest appeal.
With its official Steam release now live, Sponge Break looks ready to deliver plenty of laugh-out-loud moments for friends looking for a fun co-op challenge. If you enjoy chaotic multiplayer games where teamwork often leads to hilarious mishaps, this is one adventure worth checking out.
