New Features Await in Chaos Zero Nightmare
Smilegate has officially launched Season 4 of Galactic Disaster for Chaos Zero Nightmare, titled Shattered Light and Claw. This latest season brings a fresh chapter, new characters, and several gameplay improvements to the free-to-play dark fantasy roguelike RPG.
The latest season introduces a new storyline centered on the mysterious disappearances of powerful strategic assets known as Protos. As players investigate the incidents, they encounter a new Protos named Anis, setting the stage for an adventure filled with unexpected twists. The update also adds the new Chaos area, Kaleidoscope Hatchery, where players can earn character recruitment currency, Core items, and other valuable progression materials.
Season 4 also welcomes two new additions to the roster: the Combatant Hilde and her Partner, Eunie. Hilde specializes in generating Homing Arrow cards that trigger extra attacks and support teammates, while Eunie boosts Attack and enhances the damage of Extra Attacks under specific conditions.
Beyond new characters, the update introduces several quality-of-life features. The new Outfit system lets players customize Combatants with alternate appearances, voice lines, and exclusive stories. Hilde and Tiphera are the first to receive Outfits, with more planned in future updates. Players can also take advantage of the new Growth Guide and Build Preset systems, making it easier to develop characters and recreate preferred builds during roguelike runs.
To celebrate the new season, Smilegate has launched a series of limited-time events, including the Beach Café Festival, Hilde-themed Following the Fox’s Footsteps event, and a Season 4 Check-in campaign packed with progression rewards.
Chaos Zero Nightmare is available now as a free-to-play title on PC, iPhone, and Android. With a new story, fresh gameplay systems, and seasonal events, Season 4 offers both newcomers and returning players plenty of reasons to jump back into the game.
