Fractured Worlds Is Launching Its Full Version Next Month on PS5 and PC

Explore Fragmented Realms in Fractured Worlds

Fractured Worlds is finally ready to leave Early Access, with independent developer Laser Guided Games confirming that the dark fantasy action RPG will launch in version 1.0 on August 26 for PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Developed by industry veteran Matt Oelfke, who previously worked on Gears of War and Unreal Tournament, the game has been available in Early Access on the Epic Games Store since October 2025.

Set in a universe torn apart by the unchecked ambition of its inhabitants, Fractured Worlds sends players across broken realms in search of lost memories and the truth behind a world-ending catastrophe. Guided by a mysterious voice, players will explore medieval dungeons, enchanted forests, volcanic wastelands, steampunk cities, and the cosmic core connecting them all.

Combat emphasizes precision and timing, with each weapon type offering a unique feel. Rather than traditional classes, the game uses a classless progression system that allows players to respec builds, experiment with legendary gear, and tailor their playstyle. Multiplayer is inspired by Souls-like invasion mechanics, allowing players to cooperate, invade, share loot, or betray others as realities overlap. The Map Shard system also adds randomized modifiers that change enemy encounters and loot rewards for fresh co-op runs.

Players will also face formidable bosses, including the Treasure Golem, Ghostly Knight, Dragon, and even a Shadow that mirrors their own equipment and abilities.

With its blend of challenging combat, flexible progression, and dynamic multiplayer, Fractured Worlds looks set to deliver a compelling dark fantasy RPG experience when it launches on August 26.
