Kitman World Cup Playtest Returns With a Competitive Twist This Time

A Knockout Tournament Is Coming to Kitman

After attracting more than 50,000 sign-ups during its first public playtest, Kitman is back with another opportunity for players to jump into the action. This time, however, there’s a competitive twist.

Running from June 28 to July 19, the new Kitman World Cup Playtest will challenge players to earn the highest score possible while representing their home country. The top-performing player from each participating nation will automatically qualify for a 32-team knockout tournament, where countries will compete to determine who has the world’s best virtual kitmen.

The tournament lineup includes football-loving nations such as Brazil, Germany, England, Argentina, Spain, France, Italy, Japan, the United States, and many more, with remaining regions grouped into a “Rest of the World” team. Entry is limited, though players can secure guaranteed access by inviting at least three friends, while all other applicants will be selected through a lottery system.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Kitman is a unique 1 to 4-player co-op job simulator set behind the scenes of a football stadium. Players take on the role of an equipment manager, handling everything from cleaning locker rooms and repairing kits to polishing boots and preparing players for match day. Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, the game also features team management elements, allowing players to scout talent, adjust formations, and guide their club through the league.

With its mix of teamwork, strategy, and lighthearted chaos, Kitman continues to offer a refreshing take on football games. It’ll be interesting to see which country comes out on top when the final whistle blows.
