Ludiger Opens Steam Store Page, Invites Players to Join Playtest

Join the Battles in Ludiger

Liz-Arts, an indie game circle known for its creative approach to strategy, has officially opened the Steam store page for its upcoming digital board game, Ludiger, while launching a public playtest open to all players. Anyone can freely join the playtest directly through Steam and experience this unique blend of classic and modern tactical gameplay.

Ludiger

Described as a “Chess × SRPG-like strategy board game,” Ludiger invites players to command a set of chips across a grid-based battlefield in a contest of positioning and strategy. Each chip carries its own health points and special abilities, pushing players to think several moves ahead as they aim to destroy their opponent’s base.

The latest version builds upon the earlier Windows-exclusive release from 2023, now featuring broader platform support for both Windows and Mac. It also adds new online elements, including Steam achievements and an Elo-based ranking system that tracks player performance.

Beyond its competitive Online Battle mode, Ludiger offers multiple ways to play. Those who prefer solo challenges can test their strategies against AI opponents in CPU Battle mode, while friends can enjoy face-to-face matches through the One Board Battle mode on a shared screen.

With its combination of chess-inspired mechanics and SRPG-style depth, Ludiger delivers a tactical experience that rewards thoughtful play and creative strategies. For fans of strategy games seeking a fresh yet familiar challenge, the Steam playtest marks the perfect chance to explore what Liz-Arts has crafted.
