Awesome Rewards Awaits in the King of Fighters AFK
Netmarble just dropped a brand-new Summer Festival update for The King of Fighters AFK, bringing fresh content, limited-time events, and the debut of a new version of one of the franchise’s fan-favorite fighters, Kula Diamond.
Headlining the update is Aqua Splash Kula Diamond, a seasonal variant that transforms the icy fighter with a summer-themed look while keeping her signature freezing abilities intact. She can instantly freeze moisture in the air to unleash devastating attacks and introduces the new [Deathblow] synergy, giving players more strategic options when building their teams. Aqua Splash Kula will be available from June 25 to July 8, alongside a [Deathblow] Synergy Pick-Up event that increases the chances of recruiting fighters with the same synergy.
The Summer Festival itself runs from June 25 to July 22, offering a variety of themed activities and rewards. The main Aqua Splash event begins on July 2 and includes mini-events like Find Kula as well as event dungeons such as Midnight Party and Sunshine Groove.
Players can also collect daily rewards through the Cool Summer Check-In event, earning valuable items including an Origin and DNA Selection Box. The update also introduces the Legendary pets Slush and Bumpy, while the Lucky Elpy event, running from June 29 to July 3, gives players a chance to recruit the Legendary Supporter Sho Hayate.
Based on SNK’s legendary fighting game series, The King of Fighters AFK features iconic characters recreated in charming pixel art inspired by The King of Fighters R-2. Players can build teams of up to 25 fighters, experiment with different formations, and enjoy strategic AFK battles.
With plenty of limited-time content and exclusive rewards on offer, this Summer Festival update gives both new and returning players a great reason to jump back into the action.
