SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance Is Slashing Onto Nintendo Switch 2 in September

Pre-Order SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance Right Now

SEGA has officially confirmed that SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance is making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2, with a release date set for September 24, 2026. The stylish 2D action platformer, developed in collaboration with Lizardcube, will be available in both digital and physical editions, with pre-orders already live.

This new entry brings back the legendary ninja Joe Musashi, who returns home only to find his village reduced to ashes and his clan mysteriously turned to stone. What follows is a revenge-driven journey that pushes players through beautifully crafted, hand-drawn environments filled with relentless enemies and powerful bosses.

The game leans heavily into fast-paced combat, encouraging players to stay constantly on the move, striking and reacting in quick succession. Along the way, there are multiple paths to uncover and secrets to unlock, adding replay value to an already fluid and engaging experience.

Priced starting at $29.99, the game will also receive a Deluxe Edition in both digital and physical formats. This version includes the SEGA Villain Level DLC, where players will face off against iconic foes like Dr. Eggman, Goro Majima’s “Mad Dog,” and the towering Death Adder.

SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance is also available across other major platforms, but the upcoming Switch 2 version gives players another way to experience this modern revival of a classic series.
