Become the Immortal Artificer in Amata
Indie developer Zxyyr has announced that Amata will officially leave Early Access and launch its full version on Steam on August 20. Alongside the announcement, the developer has also released the game’s final major update for the main campaign, bringing in all of the planned content ahead of the 1.0 release. Future updates will primarily focus on bug fixes and additional language support.

The story follows Charlet as she attempts to escape The Memetic Expanse after bringing the threat of Amata to an end. While Amata itself has been defeated, its lingering power and relentless agents continue to pose new dangers. Players will explore a dark fantasy world in this mostly linear 2D side-scrolling action RPG platformer, combining fast-paced combat with exploration and platforming.
Amata features fluid movement mechanics that encourage agile traversal across a variety of interconnected realms. Combat revolves around the Memetic Blade, allowing players to slash through enemies while mastering defensive techniques such as blocking and parrying. Throughout the adventure, players can equip magical weapons, artifacts, charms, and consumable items while investing earned experience into character stats to suit their preferred playstyle.
The game also includes fast travel between discovered checkpoints, hidden realm memories to collect, environmental puzzles to solve, and new areas filled with powerful enemies. Players will also be accompanied by IAIA, Charlet’s cybertronic companion, whose frequent commentary adds another layer to the journey.
Amata is currently available in Steam Early Access for $9.99, giving players the chance to experience the adventure before it reaches version 1.0 later this month. With its full release just around the corner, Amata looks ready to deliver the complete vision Zxyyr has been building throughout its Early Access journey.
