Edge of Memories Is Launching a Steam Demo on 15 June as Part of Next Fest

Enjoy the First Chapter of Edge of Memories This June

NACON and Midgar Studio have officially revealed that Edge of Memories will be getting a free Steam demo on June 15, 2026, as part of Steam Next Fest. The announcement was made during the Indie Quest 2026 showcase, offering players an early look at this French-developed JRPG ahead of its full launch later this year on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Edge of Memories

The demo will introduce players to the opening chapter of the game, following protagonist Eline as she awakens on the serene Estfalian Coast. Her journey begins with a chance encounter with Ysoris, a mysterious traveler equipped with unusual prosthetics. What starts as a simple escort mission soon evolves into a larger conflict, as the duo sets out to rescue hunters abducted by creatures born from a mysterious force known as the Corrosion.

Players will get hands-on experience with the game’s core mechanics, including Eline’s early combat combos, Ysoris’ unique abilities, and a system built around exploiting enemy weaknesses. The demo also showcases crafting elements, allowing players to prepare potions at campsites.

The experience culminates in a boss battle that reveals Eline’s hidden power, a transformation into the Black Beast, granting her immense strength for a brief period, though at the cost of her memory.

With nearly two hours of content, the demo offers a solid introduction to the world of Avaris, blending JRPG traditions with distinct French artistic direction and a richly composed soundtrack.

Overall, Edge of Memories is shaping up to be a promising entry in the genre, and this demo will provide an early glimpse of its potential. You can check out the official demo reveal trailer right below.
