BOBABOMB Just Dropped Two Trailers and Confirmed Its Demo Release Date

Prepare to Get Boba-Bombed

Get ready to turn your friends into sticky targets. Two Shrimps Studio has released two new trailers for BOBABOMB, its colorful third-person party game, while confirming that the game’s Steam demo will launch on October 7.

BOBABOMB throws up to 16 players into chaotic playground-style arenas where cute, round characters called Bobys battle it out using one surprisingly dangerous weapon: boba. Players can suck up loose bubble tea ammo, stockpile it for bigger attacks, or dump their supply to become lighter and faster.

The more boba you carry, the heavier your Boba becomes. That extra weight can slow you down, but it also gives you stronger straw swats that can send opponents flying off the arena. Meanwhile, sticky boba shots can slow rivals down before you finish them off with a Bomba, an explosive bubble that sticks to players and detonates when its fuse runs out.

Missed shots don’t simply disappear, either. Players can pick up the Boba left around the arena and reuse them, potentially turning another player’s failed attack into your next big play.

The game features several modes, including Deathmatch, Last Boba Standing, and Bomba Run, which challenges players to deliver a massive Bomba into the opposing team’s cup while protecting their own.

With its ridiculous premise, colorful arenas, and plenty of opportunities to launch your friends into the void, BOBABOMB looks like the kind of party game built for chaos. The Steam demo arrives October 7, so it’s almost time to start slurping and fighting.
