5. Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth (Xbox Series X/S and Switch 2) – June 3
Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth is the second entry in a trilogy of JRPGs remaking one of the most important video games of all time, Final Fantasy VII. It began as a PS5 exclusive, and has since been ported to PC. This gigantic action JRPG is finally getting released on Xbox Series X/S and Switch 2. Normally we don’t include ports on lists like the Top 5 Upcoming Video Games June 2026, but this month is a bit slower, and Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth is a big deal.
4. The 7th Guest Remake – June 4
Our fourth entry on the Top 5 Upcoming Video Games June 2026 is a remake of a classic point-and-click FMV horror adventure game. The 7th Guest was made in the wake of the popularity of Myst. There’s been a fairly straightforward port of the original version widely available for PC, but this remake makes the game fully 3D, and puts it on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in addition to PC.
3. Denshattack! – June 17
Denshattack! looks like a wacky good time. It’s one of the higher profile indie games that came out of nowhere. Gameplay looks like a snowboard racing game. But it has a graffiti anime style, and the player controls massive vehicles instead of people on boards. It’s a bit rare for an off the wall indie title like Denshattack! to crack the upper echelons of a list like the Top 5 Upcoming Video Games June 2026, but its strangeness has people buzzing! Denshattack! will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC.
2. The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales – June 18
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is an action JRPG inspired by classics like The Legend of Zelda, and Secret of Mana. It’s developed by the same Square Enix team that made Octopath Traveler and Triangle Strategy. The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC. 1. Star Fox – June 25
Star Fox was just announced by Nintendo. It’s a remake of Star Fox 64, with a slew of new features. It’s being released for a lower price than most Nintendo first party exclusives, likely because of its short campaign length. Rail shooter fans should rejoice, as the original is one of the most beloved games in the genre. Star Fox is a Switch 2 exclusive.
