Wishlist Project Sentinel – Zero Tolerance Right Now
Solo developer Mark Jones has officially unveiled the Steam page for Project Sentinel – Zero Tolerance, confirming that it is “Coming Soon”. It also gives players their first opportunity to wishlist the upcoming cyberpunk action title. The game draws clear inspiration from classic 16-bit run-and-gun shooters, while blending it with a darker, more methodical approach rooted in dystopian 1980s action themes.
Set in the crime-infested Storm City, the game places players in control of the Sentinel, a cybernetic law enforcer tasked with restoring order through any means necessary. Unlike traditional fast-paced shooters, Project Sentinel – Zero Tolerance leans into a slower, more deliberate style where controlling the battlefield is just as important as survival. Players must carefully balance firepower, crowd control, and situational awareness as they push through dangerous urban environments.
One of the game’s standout features is the Sentinel’s cybernetic roar, a unique mechanic that allows players to intimidate weakened enemies into surrendering. This opens the door for arrests rather than outright elimination, offering a strategic alternative to brute force. The roar also helps protect civilians by forcing them into cover during intense encounters, adding another layer of tactical decision-making.
Civilian safety plays a central role throughout the experience. Player performance is measured through a detailed end-of-level evaluation system that tracks arrests, casualties, kills, and gathered intel, all presented through the cold lens of a dystopian bureaucracy.
With its mix of retro aesthetics and thoughtful mechanics, Project Sentinel – Zero Tolerance is shaping up to be a distinctive entry in the genre. As anticipation builds, its newly launched Steam page marks the first step toward its eventual release.
