Raging Blasters 2 Steam Page Goes Live, Bringing Classic Shmup Action

Pilot Your Fighter Jet in Raging Blasters 2

TERARIN GAMES has officially opened the Steam page for its upcoming shoot ’em up title, Raging Blasters 2. The announcement offers the first look at the sequel to the studio’s fast-paced arcade shooter Raging Blasters, which focuses on intense action, quick reflexes, and large waves of enemies in outer space.

Raging Blasters 2 is a vertical scrolling shmup that places players in control of a powerful fighter jet as they battle enemy forces across space. The gameplay sticks closely to classic arcade-style shooter mechanics, where players fire continuous shots to destroy enemies while skillfully dodging incoming bullet patterns. The straightforward design makes it easy to pick up while still offering the kind of challenge fans of the genre expect.

Players will be able to select from three different pilots before heading into battle, each taking control of a fighter jet to fight through the game’s stages. As with many traditional shmups, the focus remains on precise movement, quick reactions, and maintaining a steady stream of firepower to clear the screen.

One of the notable features returning from TERARIN GAMES’ previous title, Gemini Arms, is the pseudo two-player system. The game supports both single-player and two-player cooperative play. When playing solo, the second player unit automatically acts as an assist option, allowing players to experience a cooperative-style setup even when playing alone. This system ensures that the cooperative dynamic remains part of the experience regardless of the number of players.

Raging Blasters 2 is currently planned for release on Steam and Nintendo Switch in 2027.
