Lethal Wedding Just Dropped a Brand-New Gameplay Trailer

Retro Action Awaits in Lethal Wedding

Lethal Wedding has returned with a brand-new gameplay trailer, offering a fresh look at its chaotic co-op action just as the game enters its final week on Kickstarter. Published by Mega Cat Studios, this 16-bit run-and-gun shooter for the Sega Genesis, Mega Drive, and Steam leans fully into its wild concept, turning a wedding celebration into an all-out battlefield.

The latest trailer highlights the game’s over-the-top combat, following bride Joanna and her equally dangerous mother-in-law as they fight to rescue the kidnapped groom. What unfolds is anything but traditional, with players wielding a bizarre yet creative arsenal that includes explosive balloon animals, acid-spitting flowers, and even grenade-launching bridal bouquets. One of the standout moments is the Bridezilla power-up, which pushes the action into even more outrageous territory.

This reveal builds on last week’s developer vlog, where the team shared insights into the game’s development. Drawing inspiration from classic action films and retro titles like Zombies Ate My Neighbors, the developers also spoke about working within the limits of 16-bit hardware while crafting a fast-paced, co-op-focused experience complete with a lively soundtrack by Team Fat.

In Lethal Wedding, players will fight through more than 30 levels filled with bizarre enemies, from clown-themed criminals to heavily armed circus performers. The game also introduces a Vow System, adding extra challenges that keep each stage unpredictable.

With its mix of humor, chaos, and classic arcade-style gameplay, Lethal Wedding is shaping up to be a memorable throwback. It feels like a celebration of retro gaming with a delightfully unhinged twist.
