Cardburners Is Bringing Its Fast-Paced Card Battles on Steam This Month

Test Your Speed in Cardburners

Indie developer GrosChevaux has officially announced that its fast-paced card battler, Cardburners, will launch on Steam on May 28. Alongside the reveal, a brand-new release date trailer has been dropped, offering a closer look at the game’s frantic gameplay. Players can also jump in early, as a demo is already available on the platform.

Cardburners takes a bold approach to the traditional card battler formula by turning it into a real-time experience. Instead of waiting for turns, players are constantly drawing cards every second, creating a relentless pace where hesitation can cost you the match. Cards don’t stay in your hand for long either, forcing quick thinking and even quicker decisions before they burn away.

The game blends action and strategy in a way that feels both chaotic and engaging. Whether playing solo against AI opponents or competing in online 1v1 matches with friends, each session demands sharp focus and adaptability. Players can even adjust the speed of gameplay, with the system capable of dealing up to 100 cards per minute, making it as intense as they want.

Customization also plays a key role, allowing players to mix and match rules from various card packs to create unique match setups. This flexibility adds variety and keeps matches feeling fresh.

With its rapid-fire mechanics and creative twist on the genre, Cardburners looks set to deliver a fast and intense card-battling experience when it arrives later this month.
