DANGEN Entertainment has officially revealed Magical Blush, a spell-driven 2D action-adventure heading to PC and consoles. Developed by indie studio Alkacer Game Studio, the game brings a fresh twist to the metroidvania formula by shifting the perspective to a top-down view while focusing on fast, fluid combat and exploration. The PC version is scheduled to launch this summer, with releases for Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S planned for a later date.
The announcement came alongside a new trailer showcased during gamescom latam. It offers a first look at the game’s vibrant pixel art style, dynamic elemental systems, and fast-paced encounters. You can check it out for yourself right below.
Magical Blush is a 2D action-adventure game that blends combo-based spellcasting with exploration-heavy progression. Players can chain elemental abilities together, uncover hidden paths through clever traversal, and move across a colorful world filled with distinct locations. The design emphasizes both skillful combat and discovery, giving each area a sense of depth and challenge.
The story follows Arnin, a powerful mage tasked with protecting the Elemental Lords. After returning from the astral plane, she finds her world in ruins. A mysterious force has unleashed chaotic elemental powers, threatening the land of Wyn. Arnin must journey across the kingdom, rescue survivors, and confront the destructive forces of fire, water, wind, stone, and spirit.
Additionally, a playable demo is already available on Steam, GOG, and itch.io, giving players an early chance to experience its mechanics.
With its distinct perspective and strong focus on elemental combat, Magical Blush is shaping up to be a notable entry in the genre.
