The Shore: Enhanced Edition Lands on PS5, Delivering a Refined Horror Adventure

An Upgraded Horror Experience Awaits in The Shore: Enhanced Edition

Dragonis Games and Iphigames have officially launched The Shore: Enhanced Edition on PlayStation 5, marking the first time the Lovecraftian horror adventure arrives on consoles. This release represents the most complete and refined version of the game so far, shaped by years of community feedback and anticipation. An Xbox Series X/S version is also in development and is currently scheduled for release later in 2026.

Originally gaining attention on PC for its unsettling atmosphere and narrative depth, The Shore places players on a mysterious, abandoned island filled with dark secrets. The enhanced edition builds on that foundation with improved visuals, smoother performance, and a more immersive overall experience tailored for console players.

Set in a world inspired by cosmic horror, the game invites players to explore eerie villages, decaying ruins, and strange landscapes while uncovering the tragic story of Andrew. The narrative unfolds through environmental storytelling, scattered notes, and haunting events that gradually reveal the island’s disturbing past. Along the way, players must solve environmental puzzles using logic and observation, while encountering terrifying entities that defy human understanding.

Ancient artifacts play a key role in survival, offering powerful abilities but carrying their own risks. Combined with a chilling sound design filled with whispers, silence, and tension-building audio cues, the game maintains a constant sense of unease throughout.

The Shore: Enhanced Edition is available digitally on PlayStation 5 for $21.49. A physical edition bundled with Necrophosis: Full Consciousness is coming out on May 28, 2026, in collaboration with PQube.

With its console debut, The Shore reaches a wider audience while delivering a darker, more polished version of its haunting vision.
