Pre-Register DRAGON QUEST Smash/Grow on iOS and Android
Square Enix has officially confirmed that Dragon Quest Smash/Grow, the latest entry in its long-running RPG franchise, will launch on April 20, 2026. The upcoming roguelite RPG will arrive on smartphones and is going live at 8 p.m. PT / 11 p.m. ET, marking a fresh take on the beloved DRAGON QUEST series.
Ahead of release, Square Enix has also unveiled an opening trailer produced by the renowned animation studio Kamikaze Douga. The trailer introduces a vibrant world filled with classic Dragon Quest enemies, including slimes, drackies, and the iconic killing machines. Players can get a glimpse of the action-packed gameplay, where the protagonist battles through waves of enemies alongside a mechanical companion named Roly. Notably, Roly is voiced by Toshio Furukawa, adding a familiar voice to the experience.
Pre-registration for Dragon Quest Smash/Grow is now open on both the App Store and Google Play. Players who sign up in advance will receive 10 Premium Transmuter Vouchers at launch, which can be used for in-game pulls to give them a strong start.
In terms of gameplay, the title blends fast-paced combat with roguelite elements. Players will smash through hordes of monsters using powerful Coup de Grâce abilities. All while shaping their character’s progression through random Blessings. This system ensures that each run feels different, encouraging players to adapt their strategies on the fly.
