Prepare to Enter the Living Dead House
Indie studio Deprecated Games has announced that its upcoming retro-inspired zombie shooter Living Dead House will launch on the Nintendo Switch on April 2. The game aims to deliver a classic arcade-style survival experience, combining fast-paced action with nostalgic visuals and music.
In Living Dead House, players must survive inside an abandoned house while waves of undead creatures attack throughout the night. The objective is simple but intense. Hold out until sunrise while managing limited weapons and resources. Players can take on the challenge alone or team up with a friend through local co op, making survival a shared experience as the undead continue to close in.
The game features 20 action-packed stages filled with relentless zombie encounters. Players will have access to six different weapons and survival items to help fend off the incoming hordes. Hidden letters can also be collected during gameplay, eventually unlocking a powerful super weapon capable of dealing massive damage to enemies.
Visually, the title embraces colorful 16-bit pixel art that captures the spirit of classic arcade games. A spooky chiptune soundtrack accompanies the action, while additional filters such as Black and White and CRT display options help create an authentic retro horror atmosphere.
In addition to its main gameplay, Living Dead House includes both Arcade and Survival modes along with leaderboards for one or two players, encouraging players to chase high scores and improve their runs.
Overall, Living Dead House looks set to offer a straightforward yet intense arcade-style zombie survival experience when it arrives on Switch next month. Fans of retro action games may want to keep an eye on this one when it launches on April 2.
