Lead Your Troops in Sherman Commander
Sherman Commander has officially launched on PC, bringing its action-packed tactical tank simulation to Steam. Developed by Iron Wolf Studio and published by Daedalic Entertainment, the game combines first-person tank combat with squad-based tactical gameplay, placing a strong focus on infantry coordination and battlefield awareness.
To mark the launch, the developers are offering a limited-time 10% discount on Steam. A playable demo also remains available for players who want to try the experience before purchasing, alongside a newly released launch trailer.
The full release follows an open playtest period where player feedback helped shape several of the game’s mechanics. One of the most noticeable changes in the final version is the increased autonomy given to units on the battlefield. The game also places a stronger emphasis on leading troops directly from inside the tank instead of relying heavily on a traditional tactical map.
In battle, players command their tank while coordinating with nearby infantry units, creating a combat experience that blends real-time awareness with tactical decision-making. This approach allows players to stay close to the action while still managing battlefield strategy.
The game offers a fresh take on mechanized warfare by blending elements of tank simulation with real-time strategy gameplay. Players take command of the iconic M4 Sherman and fight through the intense battles that followed the Allied landings in Europe during World War II.
Working closely with their tank crew and allied infantry units, players must push through some of the most challenging encounters of the European theater. So, do you think you are ready to enter the battlefield? Find out now in Sherman Commander.
