Compass Takes Flight on Meta Quest 3 and Steam on 28th May

Get Ready to Soar in the Sky in Compass

Canadian studio TREBUCHET has officially announced the release date for its upcoming open-world VR flight adventure, Compass. The announcement was made during the Creature Feature & Friends Showcase, confirming that the game will launch on May 28 for Meta Quest 3/3S and SteamVR.

Set high above mysterious cloud-covered worlds, Compass places players in the role of a scout guiding a wandering Caravan through dangerous and uncharted skies. Built specifically for VR, the game focuses heavily on immersive exploration, aerial traversal, and hands-on interaction as players pilot a customizable flying ship across shifting landscapes and hazardous environments.

The adventure revolves around navigating vast open skies while gradually upgrading the Caravan with new components to unlock safer routes and reach farther regions. Outside the cockpit, players can use hand grapples to swing through ancient ruins, climb towering structures, and complete environmental challenges scattered throughout the floating world.

Along the journey, players will recover lost cargo, encounter communities living among the clouds, and investigate the disappearance of missing companions. The game also promises hidden mysteries lurking deep within the skies, adding a strong sense of discovery to its exploration-driven gameplay.

Key features include ship piloting, upgrade customization, grappling-based traversal, open-world exploration, and story-focused progression centered around uncovering the secrets of the skies.

With its mix of immersive VR flight mechanics and open-world exploration, Compass is shaping up to be one of the more ambitious VR adventures arriving this year. Players on Meta Quest 3/3S and SteamVR will be able to take to the skies when the game launches on May 28.
