Try Your Luck in DiceVaders
Indie studio Pengonauts, the team behind StarVaders, has officially released the first public demo for its new game, DiceVaders. Players can download and try the demo now on Steam, with the game also set to feature during Steam Next Fest from February 23 to March 2.
Set in the StarVaders universe, DiceVaders flips the perspective and puts players in control of the invading bosses. This “numbers go up” dice-based roguelike challenges you to assemble a powerful alien army and unleash it on the solar system. Your objective is simple: build unstoppable synergies, roll strategically, and crush Earth along with the pilots defending it.
Gameplay revolves around assembling familiar alien invaders on a grid, where positioning plays a crucial role. Each unit interacts with others through carefully designed synergies, allowing you to create devastating combos. Every roll of the dice can trigger explosive chain reactions, boosting your power and score as you progress.
To manipulate outcomes and strengthen your forces, you’ll use Budges and Chrono Tokens, special tools that help control dice rolls and enhance your invaders. Strategic planning is essential, as maximizing each roll can mean the difference between victory and defeat.
However, Earth won’t fall without resistance. The Pilots from StarVaders return with unique abilities that disrupt your plans and force you to adapt your strategy. Master the grid, optimize your rolls, and outsmart the defenders to dominate the galaxy in DiceVaders’ newly released demo.
