Reality Is Falling Apart in SCP: Project Pneuma
The containment breach has officially begun. Indian developer and publisher Zatun has released the demo for SCP: Project Pneuma, giving horror fans their first chance to step into its unsettling world. The demo is available to download now through Steam.
SCP: Project Pneuma takes players into the aftermath of Project Echelon, a secret Foundation protocol that caused a catastrophic containment failure. Facilities have gone silent, anomalies are roaming free, and the line between reality and hallucination is starting to fall apart.
Players take on the role of Dr. Alexander “Alexie” Kolchak, a Foundation researcher and one of the few survivors of Site-63. Trapped in the ruins, Alexie must uncover what happened while making his way toward Site-19. However, surviving the journey will require more than simply confronting whatever is hiding in the darkness.
The demo combines psychological horror, exploration, stealth, environmental puzzles, and narrative investigation. Players can uncover the story through journals, voice recordings, abandoned equipment, and environmental clues scattered throughout the ruined facilities.
Resources are limited, while many anomalies cannot be defeated directly. Players will need to study their surroundings, understand each threat’s behavior, and know when it is better to hide than fight. Things become even more unsettling as hallucinations begin changing familiar environments and challenging Alexie’s perception of reality.
The SCP: Project Pneuma demo is available now on Steam, giving players a first look at the horror waiting ahead. If you’re brave enough to enter the facility, this might be one containment breach worth investigating.
