Pokémon Unveils Animated Logo to Kick Off 30th Anniversary

Check Out This Cute Pikachu

Pokémon has officially begun its 30th anniversary celebrations with the reveal of a special animated logo, marking a major milestone for one of the most influential franchises in video game history. As the new year gets underway, the industry is already preparing for landmark moments. And Pokémon’s three decades of global success stand out as one of the biggest.

The Pokémon Company confirmed that the franchise will celebrate its 30th anniversary on 27 February 2026. To set the tone for the year ahead, an animated anniversary logo has been shared through official channels. The animation features Pikachu as it appears across different eras of the series. It visually traces the evolution of Pokémon from its origins to the present day.

The accompanying message highlights how the journey began in 1996 with the release of Pokémon Red and Green in Japan. These titles laid the foundation for what would become a worldwide phenomenon, later expanding internationally with Pokémon Red and Blue. From its humble beginnings on the Game Boy to its current presence across games, animation, merchandise, and competitive events, Pokémon’s growth over three decades has been remarkable.

The logo reveal also follows early reports that McDonald’s is preparing a Pokémon TCG promotion tied to the anniversary celebrations. While the company has not yet announced full details, this indicates that it will likely plan a wide range of collaborations and events throughout 2026.

With the anniversary still over a month away, the animated logo serves as a nostalgic reminder of Pokémon’s enduring legacy and a clear signal that significant announcements and celebrations are on the horizon.
