The Swamp Awaits in Tiny Aquarium
Tiny Aquarium: Social Fishkeeping receives a major free update today as Lunheim Studios announces the release of the new Swamplands expansion. Since the game launched in June and earned more than 1,780 reviews along with an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam, the studio has continued to build on its cozy foundation, and the latest update marks another step in its steady growth.
At the center of the expansion is The Swamp, a new fishing zone that adds a fresh atmosphere to the game’s calm routine. Players can now encounter eleven additional fish and shell species, including the Baby King Crab, and experiment with ten new decorations to personalize their aquariums. The update also brings a new badge system that grants special qualities to fish, offering a light sense of progression while keeping the experience relaxed. Additional improvements include more storage for excess fish and a refined lobby creation system that allows players to manage who joins their social spaces.
Developed by Lunheim Studios and published by Future Friends Games, the team behind SUMMERHOUSE, Gourdlets, and Cloverpit, Tiny Aquarium: Social Fishkeeping invites players to raise and sell fish in real time, decorate their tanks, and join friends in shared lobbies to fish together. Designed to sit quietly at the edge of the screen, the game encourages short, soothing sessions that fit naturally into work, study, or breaks.
With the arrival of the free Swamplands update, Tiny Aquarium continues to expand its gentle world while preserving the cozy charm that has resonated so strongly with its community.
